A grounding, earthy bowl for mixing potions and slowing down.

Some objects change the energy of play just by being in a child's hands. This bowl is one of them. Carved by hand from natural soapstone, it has a soft, smooth surface and a gentle weight that invites little hands to slow down, hold carefully, and pay attention. No two are the same: each one carries its own swirls of earthy brown, black, and cream, like a small piece of the earth brought to the play table.

Use it as the heart of your potion play: for mixing petals, water, and fizzy ingredients, or a calm place for collecting treasures found on a nature walk. Its sturdy base keeps it steady, and its rounded rim feels good to hold and pour from.

Because it's stone, it also teaches something quietly. Children learn that some things need gentle hands, and they rise to that. That's the Montessori way: real materials, real care, real connection.

Pair it with any Little Hands and Nature Potion Play Kit, or with our Acacia Wood Potion Play Tray.

Care

Rinse with water and dry. No dishwasher. Soapstone is a soft stone: it can scratch, chip or crack if dropped on a hard floor, so we recommend use on a tray or a soft surface. Adult supervision recommended.
